Coffee and Things

A mom with a cup of Joe, hoping to help you as I go….

Happy July! Oh, it’s been a ride, hasn’t it??

Hi – you may not have met me, but I’m Tanya! I have a couple of “intros” floating around here but it sure is nice to meet you! Oh, I’ve tried blogging before but always quit on myself because I didn’t think I was “this, that or the other thing”…educated enough…valuable enough….worthy of blogging…I wasn’t some famous person….I use too many commas. LOL But you know what, we all have a story and God given gifts and simply put, I love to write! (My college English teacher told me I should pursue a career in writing..I never did. Maybe this is my shot??) So, I thought I would start fresh and new today, as part of the Utlimate Blogging Challenge! A friend of mine introduced me to the page on Facebook last week and we decided that we both should try this! It’s a whole new blog, whole new feel and look and 31 days of posts from little ole’ me!!! It will be interesting and challenging to see if I can make all 31 days!

My goal for this UBC is to become consistent in my writing, to reach people and give them something to look forward to during these uncertain times. Let’s face it – we live in a crazy time right now with so much negativity and fear in our face on the daily! I’d like to give you some hope, encouragement, laughs, fun, teach you a thing or two and give you permission to REST.

I am trying out different looks for my blog! Let me know what you think of this one…there are about a thousand different themes and I just don’t know…I think I like this one, but not 100% sure! Do you like my coffee cup?? <3

I look forward to hopping on here tomorrow with the next post challenge! Let me know what you think – but be gentle. haha!

In Him, Tanya

  1. So glad to have found your blog! I recently went through an experience of wanting to give up blogging (again!) but after a few days away, I’m ready to jump into this challenge. I love that with this challenge, everyone can just be themselves. There are rules that keep it organized and a clean challenge, but don’t hinder our own creative processes. Looking forward to reading more!

  2. Anything to do with coffee just has to be good!
I’m brand new to this challenge as well and hoping that I’ll make it through the month! I keep thinking, that’s a LOT of content (and I have trouble doing 1 post a week!). But here goes!
And here’s to even more coffee for the rest of the month 😛

  3. I d like your blog theme! And I appreciate your wanting to give hope, because we need it. It’s great to meet you, and have you along for the ride this month.

    1. Nice to meet you Tanya! I’m in my 5th year of this challenge and I love it! Wait til you read my blog tomorrow showing how my stats grow when doing a challenge!

      1. oh wow, that is awesome!!! I am looking forward to reading yours!! I have been busy all day trying to put a chicken pen together, so now that I am done for the day, I get to get caught up on all this awesomeness! Blessings!

    1. I only wish I would have believed her long ago. Now at almost 42, hopefully I haven’t blown it, haha! I don’t think so, though..I don’t think it’s ever too late. Thank you so much for stopping by! Much love, Tanya

  4. Welcome to the Blogging Challenge. I’ve been doing it on and off for YEARS! Honestly, I haven’t ever finished…but I do give it a shot. I have found, however, that for me, blogging 3 times a week is more doable.

Again, welcome and look forward to reading more.

  5. Welcome and I love your blog post and design. I’m fairly new at this too. I did the last challenge and after that I continued blogging on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. That seemed doable. Everyday is a bit tough but it is a challenge, right?

  6. Welcome to the UBC! What I love most about being a part of this is the community of supportive bloggers, so many of who have become friends over the many challenges we’ve been in together..
Looking forward to reading more here, and love the look and name of your blog

    1. I love to hear that! Many people that I now consider close and dear friends, have been met through online avenues! I can’t wait to get to know you…and all of the bloggers in the challenge, better! Better together, right??
